I'm using coal tar solution to control itch. Can I replace it with Dr. Fukaya's Skin Repair Lotion?
Coal tar and hyaluronic acid have two different effects and cannot replace with each other.
I read the Barnes report and noticed that it stated the molecular weight of HAFI is 50,000 - 400,000da. However, I noticed your repair lotion is 50,000 - 110,000da. How can you be sure that HA fragments that are 110,000 - 400,000da are not important in reversal of skin atrophy?
There are two reasons why our Dr. Fukaya Skin Repair Lotion(50000 - 110,000da) is effective.
1. The hyaluronan receptor for endocytosis (HARE) activates NF-κB-mediated gene expression in response to 40-400k da, but not smaller or larger hyaluronans.
The Fig5 in the following link shows that the activation is most strongly observed around 100,000da.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23530033
2. You can find the result of electrophoresis of our lotion's ingredient (hyaluronan of 50,000 - 110,000da) in the second image, No.7 in the following link (Dr. Fukaya's Japanese blog). As it shows, the peak is 50,000 - 110,000da, but it also covers the wider range of molecular weight of HAFI.

From those two reasons, we are convinced that our lotion is effective.
In the first place, Dr. Barnes divided the molecular weight into the three ranges based on the following paper (the link below), and the number itself (50,000 - 400,000da) does not have any practical meaning. Dr. Barnes proved that there are some molecular weights which serve as the activator within the range of 50,000 - 400,000da.

Can the summer heat affect Dr. Fukaya's Skin Repair Lotion?
No, out Skin Repair Lotion is highly tolerant of heat and light and heated to 130 °C for sterilization in the production process. Please be assured that the lotion will not be degraded by the summer temperature.
I have heard that similar products can have harmful ingredients. Can you confirm that this is not the case with your product.
Our lotion is safe and gentle, and contains the minimum amount of the ingredients.
I think that my skin is reacting to the lotion. What should I do?
If you are currently going through topical steroids withdrawal, your skin may react to the lotion at the early stage of withdrawal. This is because skin can be hyper sensitive during this period and can react to anything - even to water. In such cases, we recommend to stop using of the lotion for a while and resume application after inflammation is calm down.
Does your lotion help with surgery scarring and atrophy, indented scarring?
Our Skin Repair Lotion is effective to reduce itchiness and dryness of scars, but we are afraid that it does not improve scars themselves.
